Chameleon puts cards on table

Chameleon Studios has completed work on WannaPlayPoker.net, a new portal allowing poker players worldwide to find live games and card rooms in their area.

 

Following several high profile TV events and an explosion of online poker rooms offering games for free or at very low stakes, poker has seen a massive rise in popularity. WannaPlayPoker taps this interest by helping online players meet other people locally to enjoy face-to-face games and the social side of poker. The site currently covers the English-speaking world.

 

Although poker is typically marketed in 'glitzy' style, the design brief was to create a site that appealed to ordinary people playing in informal surroundings.

 

"Chameleon have done a fine job of understanding our audience" says Richard Speigal, WPP's founder. "The finished website is extremely attractive, well themed and it cleverly avoids being too glamorous (which would put off amateur players). As always, Chameleon show they can listen, design AND deliver."

 

The site will be launched officially in late September.
