Chameleon Studios was recently been awarded the contract to re-design and integrate the MOSAIC content management system for the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) website.

 

A key objective of the new website will be to provide clear navigation routes for the visitors to access the information in a website that contains thousands of pages. With the CMS powering the website, BSAC staff will have the control over their own website and will be able to evolve the website without the need of specialised web skills.

 

With thousands of unique visitors using the website everyday ensuring that the widest range of these visitors can access their content is crucial. Using Chameleon's in-depth knowledge of accessibility guidelines and usability techniques the new website promises to be even more popular.

About the BSAC

The BSAC was born as a club for divers, and remains so today - in fact, it's the biggest diving club in the world. From its earliest days it started to grow, as groups of divers around the UK and overseas came together to form diving clubs. These clubs were formed within the BSAC and were known as Branches.

 

BSAC Branches are the foundation on which it has built its reputation. By making diving accessible and affordable the Club has helped many thousands of people each year to take up diving, many of them making it a continuing passion.

HRH The Prince of Wales has been President of The British Sub Aqua Club since 1974 when he succeeded his father, Prince Philip, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. In 1993 he attended the BSAC 40th anniversary banquet in the Guildhall, London. Prince Charles is a trained diver who has taken an active part in BSAC diving.
