BSAC WEBSITE BUBBLES TO SURFACE
The British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) website redesign has now gone live as previously mentioned this year.
The old website was 10 years old and was proving problematic when updates and extra sections were planned. As such the decision to migrate the content to Mosaic CMS was taken.

Old BSAC Site Homepage

The in-house BSAC team and Chameleon Studios worked closely together over the development cycle, addressing the areas that needed attention. These included overall website design, accessibility, ease of use, document control, advert systems, search systems, site promotions and a complete re-focus on website usability.
With thousands of visitors using the website everyday ensuring that the widest range of these visitors could access the content was crucial. Using Chameleon Studio's in-depth knowledge of accessibility guidelines and usability techniques the new website promises to be even more popular than before.

"Chameleon Studios responded to the challenge to redesign and improve navigation of a complex members website with flair and professionalism and we are excited over the opportunities the new system provides for further development. A key aspect of working with Chameleon were the benefits of working closely with a small but very professional team in providing solutions and developing ideas."
Over the lifetime of the project the in-house team worked tirelessly to migrate the most critical pages into the new CMS structure. With over 3,000 pages to choose from this was not an easy task, but the result provides a solid information base from which to grow and evolve the website.
About the BSAC
The BSAC was born as a club for divers, and remains so today - in fact, it's the biggest diving club in the world. From its earliest days it started to grow, as groups of divers around the UK and overseas came together to form diving clubs. These clubs were formed within the BSAC and were known as Branches.
BSAC Branches are the foundation on which it has built its reputation. By making diving accessible and affordable the Club has helped many thousands of people each year to take up diving, many of them making it a continuing passion.
