IWF now AA Compliant
The Internet Watch Foundation website, originally developed by Chameleon Studios in November 2004 has had many incremental updates over the past few months but none greater than re-developing the front end website using XHTML and CSS to acheive WCAG AA standards.
The website has also achieved the proscribed standards as regards to CSS and XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliance. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are a simple mechanism for adding style e.g. fonts, colors, spacing to Web documents.
XHTML Transitional supports additional multimedia options, scripting languages, style sheets, better printing facilities, and provides content that is more accessible to users with disabilities. XHTML Transitional also takes great strides towards the internationalisation of documents, with the goal of making the Web truly World Wide.
