Initial fact finding exercise extracted from the brief or initial discussions to determine the full requirements for your audience, objectives, functionality and project plan.


At the start of the project we always recommend a workshop to meet your team in person, understand your organisation fully and to define the requirements and the details of the project.


Effective communication starts with defining your audience. Each user group will have their own requirements in terms of interests, messaging and calls to actions.


With the audience in mind we will audit the existing website content and listen to the plans for new content. We will produce the website sitemap that acts to highlight the content that needs to be either revised or created.


Mapping out the technical requirements including functional specification, website hosting, domain names, email provision, encryption certificates and legacy site considerations.


We love to work to a deadline, whether to tie the website launch into a corporate event or just an agreed date the project schedule helps to keep the momentum going on the project.

Before any designs can start we like to sketch out ideas and wireframes on a whiteboard. This can be done with your team during a workshop. Wireframes are a great way of creating quick ideas for the layout and hierarchy of content, position of messaging and calls to action and understanding how we want users to move through the website.


We design to simplify where possible, creating flexible brands for all media channels. This iterative process allows ideas to flow and encourages customer input at every stage.


We custom design the websites we work on. Our designs are not based on bought templates and we will produce a unique design that exactly matches your organisation and requirements.


We can prepare the artwork in any format you might need, not just for the website. Brand logos, print artwork, social media graphics or illustrations that extend the brand.

A key component of the project, thorough analysis of the messaging, text, graphics and media that will be presented on the site and creation responsibilities.


Delivery of high quality content, images and media for the website is a crucial part to its success. Whether you are generating the content from scratch, revising existing information, migrating existing content or sourcing images and new photography everyone needs to be aware of who is responsible and where this fits into the project timeline.

Into the code

We only start to build the website once the designs have been approved and you’ve had a chance to show them to the whole team and provide feedback. We build the website and stage it on one of our development servers so that we can review, add content and provide training before it goes live.


We build high quality templates. Although this is a fairly technical area this is to highlight a few things we do as standard practice: versions controls, robust frameworks and compression both for CSS and JavaScript. We put as much effort into our code as the designs to make sure they are efficient and maintainable


As part of the project we train key members of staff on how to maintain the website content using the content management tool.

Testing & Quality control

As part of the website preparation we test at all stages of the development. This starts at wireframe and basic HTML template level all the way through to the staging site before and after content has been added. In tandem with this we have a growing handheld device library that we use to view the system on as many platforms as possible.

Once approved we deploy the website to the production server and check everything is working as expected including functionality, analytics tracking, legacy site re-directs.


We will add Google Analytics website tracking for on-going trend statistics and information. We would also look to setup goals on key events such as: form submissions or document downloads so that these can be monitored. We will link Google Analytics to a Webmaster tools account so that the search data is available and also visibility over any crawl issues.


We offer 60 days warranty on all our projects to give you peace of mind once your new website is live. We work together to fine tune any elements that need refinement as you require.
